Upgrade Your Wix Website to a Custom Site
Wix is a good way to get online quickly. As a business grows, the same convenience starts to cost you: pages load a heavy platform runtime, technical SEO controls are limited, and integrations feel bolted on. We rebuild Wix sites as fast, custom websites you fully own, and move your content and search rankings with them.

Slow pages and weak Core Web Vitals
Every Wix page loads the platform’s own JavaScript before your content, and you can’t control what ships to the browser. Speed fixes run out quickly.
SEO you can’t fully control
URL structures, redirects, canonical tags, structured data and the sitemap are only partly in your hands, which makes serious SEO work harder than it should be.
Integrations that don’t quite fit
CRMs, booking systems, customer portals and internal tools end up connected through embeds and workarounds instead of proper APIs.
Lock-in and rising costs
Your design and pages live inside Wix with no clean export, and premium plans and app subscriptions add up as the site grows.
What We Upgrade You To
We recommend the option that fits how your team will update the site, not the one that's easiest for us to build.
Custom Next.js site
A fast, pre-rendered site with full control over SEO, structured data and integrations. It’s what codemaya.com runs on.
Headless CMS
Your team edits content in a friendly CMS (including WordPress), while visitors get a fast custom front end.
Lean WordPress rebuild
For teams that want to stay on WordPress: a clean theme and only the plugins you need, built to stay fast and easy to update.
Moving Off Wix: What's Different
- Wix has no full-site export, so we rebuild the design and pages rather than converting them, and use the move to fix layout and content issues at the same time.
- We extract blog posts, images and metadata from your Wix site, and product data from Wix Stores’ CSV export, so nothing is retyped by hand.
- Wix URL patterns (such as /post/ for blog articles) change on any other platform, so every old URL gets a 301 redirect to its new address.
How the Migration Works
- 1
Audit
We review your current site, its traffic and rankings in Google Search Console, integrations and content, then recommend a target and give a fixed quote.
- 2
Redirect map
Every existing URL, including blog posts and images that rank, is mapped to its new address with a permanent (301) redirect.
- 3
Design and build
We rebuild your design or refresh it, then build the new site with SEO metadata, structured data and Core Web Vitals checked page by page.
- 4
Content migration
Pages, posts, images and products move across, with titles and descriptions kept so rankings carry over.
- 5
Launch
We switch DNS without touching your email, activate redirects, and submit the new sitemap to Google Search Console.
- 6
After launch
We watch crawl errors, rankings and traffic in the weeks after launch and fix anything that slips.
Wix Migration FAQs
Will I lose my Google rankings if I move off Wix?
Not if the migration is done properly. We map every existing URL to its new address with a permanent (301) redirect, keep titles, descriptions and content intact, and resubmit the sitemap in Google Search Console on launch day. Small fluctuations for a few weeks are normal; a properly redirected site keeps its rankings.
Can you move my Wix blog posts?
Yes. We migrate posts with their images, publish dates and categories, and redirect each old post URL to the new one.
What do you move a Wix site to?
Usually a custom Next.js site, the same technology codemaya.com runs on. If your team prefers editing in a CMS, we can connect a headless CMS or build a lean WordPress site instead. We recommend the option that fits how you’ll actually update the site.
Will my email stop working during the move?
No. We change only the website’s DNS records and leave your email (MX) records untouched, then verify both after the switch.
How long does a Wix migration take?
It depends on the number of pages, blog posts and integrations. We give you a timeline and fixed quote after a short audit of your current site.
